360 Degree Video Surveillance

Video cameras are an increasing phenomenon in numerous nations around the world. The CCTV surveillance cameras that are been used are not actually rounded to provide enough info. They are sometimes zoomed at a specific area missing everything that is going around them. Thanks to technology a new surveillance technology is being developed to handle these reservations. The 360 degree video surveillance system provides completely detailed, edge to edge info. These types of cameras are very important to law enforcement agencies. It's now easy for the law enforcers to be able to pick out a criminal that has just left from a crime scene or find someone that has left their belonging under a bench and the like.
This new surveillance system known as Imaging System for Immersive Surveillance ( ISIS ) is in a position to see awfully wide. The video is terribly clear and completely detailed unlike previous systems that were limited and distorted. The 360 degree surveillance is made from many series of individual cameras stitched together in a single view. This technology has a resolution capability of One hundred megapixels. This way the camera can be zoomed closer and closer without losing clearness at all.
The stitching of the 360 degree surveillance cameras is borrowed from digital panorama that allows you to zoom around within a motionless image. The panorama takes one or two still pictures each slightly overlapping, and then use software to glue them together into a long, constant image. The ISIS however is stitching video in real time together. The video analytics consists of a set of computer programs. One app can outline an area that warns the 360 degree surveillance in the event of a breach. The other one allows the operator to pick up a target whether or not it is somebody or a car and the detailed viewing window will follow it, mechanically panning and sloping as required. Video analytics at high spec across a 360-degree field of view, together with the capability to follow things against a muddled background, would provide boosted situational awareness as a situation occurs.
In the incidence of a crime or terrorism attack, forensic investigators can go through the most recent video, using pan, zoom, and lean controls to recreate the scene to find whoever did what they are examining and when it occurred. The controls are virtual hence different parts of a crime scene can be studied by separate investigative teams at the same time.
