Remote Without Keys - a Great Resolution for Unlocking the Motor Vehicle From a Distance
A good resolution to having to unlock your motor vehicle door manually during inclement weather or when your arms are full is the keyless remote. With one press of a switch you can have your motor vehicle unlocked or locked without needing to mess with your key chain. There is also an added benefit that most remotes come with - a panic switch which will sound an alarm from your motor vehicle if you push the button. This makes the keyless remote for cars not just an item of convenience but moreover a safety device as well.
There is an issue innate in the keyless remote, however, and that's that it typically cannot stand up to the wear that keys experience on a key chain. It can easily break open with very little force and render the remote worthless. Depending on the type of cars you have, the switches can also be quite flimsy and break too quickly. As an example of the flimsy nature of the item, I’ve seen a teething child break a remote after no more than five minutes of chewing on it. If I could offer one tip to improve the keyless remote for some cars, it would be to make it more sturdy. Considering what a typical key experiences in its life span, a remote that's subject to the same kind of abuse should be made just as strong.
A functional issue with the keyless remote is that sometimes the switches are too effortless to activate. For example, if you place your keys in your pocket, then put any force at all onto the remote, your motor vehicle may start to unlock or lock itself if you are within range of it. You can set off the panic button from the house just by sitting down the correct way and if this happens late in the night, your neighbors may not be pleased with you and try to seek revenge for their interrupted sleep.
Overall the keyless remote is a great new feature of modern autos. They offer a benefit that wasn't around years ago when folks had to look for the key and then insert it in to the lock before getting in to the motor vehicle. Unfortunately, until keyless remotes are constructed with more attention to durability, they will need to be replaced periodically. The period of time a remote will survive depends on how well it is made and how much stress you put on the gadget during your daily life.
