Usually, the kind of treadmill you will notice at fitness equipment stores, in health clubs, and in gyms is motorised. The Pro Fitness manual treadmill with arm levers is not motorised, but self powered. What this means is that the person using the treadmill is acting as the motor—he moves the belt just by walking, jogging, or running on it. Unlike powered treadmills, as soon as the user stops motion, the belt stops motion. We really favour this safety element. We are pleased that how fast the treadmill moves is controlled by the user. You can just walk slower or faster and step up or reduce the speed. This motion moves a flywheel—the apparatus which steers the machine. This treadmill furthermore has a ground-breaking facet which is found on both cross training machines and steppers: arm levers. So, it's one of the few machines we've encountered that delivers a whole-body workout.
