Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Hosting Series Volume 2: Deployment

$15.99

The Exchange 2000 Server Hosting series was created to help network managers, system integrators, and consultants involved in planning and deploying hosted Exchange 2000 implementations. This volume, Deployment, builds on that information and includes the step-by-step procedures required to implement this design. The companion volume, Planning, describes the tasks and decisions that must be completed to develop a framework suitable for hosting a large number of customers and users in a shared forest environment. While this guide is primarily focused on the Application Service Provider hosting their customers’ messaging infrastructures, the issues and concepts discussed here can be used by any organization to provide access to the full range of Exchange 2000 Server facilities across a public network. This book covers the following topics: Configuring routers and switches Implementing Active Directory for hosting Installing the back-end servers Deploying ISA server Installing the front-end servers Implementing Domain Name Service for hosting Adding organizations and users The companion CD-Rom contains scripts and executable code. To run the scripts included on this CD, you will need Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2000. “Mackenzie Allen Phillips’s youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever. >”

Are Full Frame Pro DSLR's Really That Great? Does the Canon 7D or 60D Compete?

If I had to pay money for a new DSLR today it would be the Canon EOS 60D.

On a shoot with a few friends the other day I got to play with a Canon 60D and a 7D and was thrilled with both cameras.

A decent DSLR just makes other snapping devices look like toys. Yes. I do have snappers... on my mobile and a compact but not for getting bragging shots.<_p_>I was comparing the 60D and 7D to my Rebels and to the few Pro models I have played with. They are both a little heavier and larger than my own Rebels and unless I had to carry them on long walks they would be more than preferable. They felt ergonomically first-class. I loved the vari-angle LCD of the 6D as well as the new HD movie features. I imagined being a budding film producer. The 5FPS of the 7D is an experience one has to have to appreciate the power of the Dual DIGIC IV processor.

On studying my shots subsequently I had no keepers, but the 5FPS value was evident. Small changes in facial expression, catching subjects blinking and not, etc. Above 12 MP it is difficult to see the superior quality of 18 MP's. I cannot honestly say that I can.

There are a lot of 'experts' who will tell you that Full Frame gives you more detail or less noise than APS-C. I think that is rubbish. The definition and noise differences can equally come from lenses, settings, photographer and lighting conditions.

I defy them to tell whether the shot was taken by a Full Frame sensor or APS-C.

Between the Canon 60D vs 7D, the 60D seems to have better value for money. It is more up to date with the video function and the vari-angle LCD is a winner. Given also that it is approximately 30% less expensive, it is well priced.

My wife would have too much to say if I came home with yet another DSLR, so for now all I can do is review the 7D vs 60d.
