Weight Reduction With A Raw Food Diet
The closer a food is to its natural state, the better it is for you. Raw foods are natural unprocessed foods. These foods can be completely uncooked or cooked at a low temperature. They are beneficial because they do not contain harmful toxins. In addition, the chemical composition is not altered by high temperature cooking, and the nutrients are not destroyed by this high heat. Uncooked , unprocessed foods help people lose weight because they contain a far higher proportion of nutrients that have not been removed by processing or cooking. The consumption of raw foods provides your body with the nutrients it craves. Because your body will no longer be starved for nutrition, it will cease craving more food.
A diet comprised of raw foods, consists of those foods that are in their natural state and unprocessed. There are numerous reasons why raw foods are better for your health. When foods are processed and cooked, an abundance of natural nutrients are removed. Think of some of the conventional wisdom you've heard about for years. If you cook pasta just to the "al dente"(or medium) stage, it will have more calories, yes, but it will have more nutritional value in it than if you cooked it to a well done stage. Perhaps someone mentioned to your that if you peel carrots too deeply you will remove many of the nutrients that are close to the surface. In addition to removing valued nutrients, toxic chemicals are often introduced when food is processed. Eating a raw food diet can be of considerable help to people on a rapid weight loss diet. A raw food diet helps you to avoid chemical additives and gives you more nutrition per calorie consumed than processed and cooked foods.
Since the cooking process removes many nutrients, when you stop cooking foods, your body get more of the nutrients it craves. A raw carrot has far more nutrition than a cooked carrot.
Cooking also alters the chemistry of foods, often making them harder to digest. Why do we have so many digestive problems? It is because we are consuming foods that our bodies were not created for. High fiber, fresh, natural foods, will go a long way towards improving the health of your digestive system. Bowel problems are reduced and blood flow is improved to all body cells. Improved circulation of blood is important because blood delivers nutrients and removes toxins from your cells.
The problem of obesity has reached epidemic proportions. The weight loss industry has experienced rapid growth. This is caused by the way our food is processed and cooked. Many psychiatrists inform us that are eating habits are caused by underlying psychological problems. Even though the stomach may be full, the body is hungry for the nutrients it craves. When the body get the nutrients it craves, the need to over eat is reduced. This is why a raw food diet can help your with your quick weight loss diet.
A raw food diet will also help increase your rate of metabolism. More energy is utilized in the digestive process, but far more nutrients are received. Rather than spending energy to rid itself of toxins produced by cooking food, the body uses its energy to feed every cell, sending vitamins, fluids, enzymes and oxygen to make your body the efficient machine it was intended to be.
You will start to receive more of the nutrients your body requires, and your body will no longer be craving them, thus the amount of food you consume will decrease. A nutrient poor diet will cause your brain to signal the rest of your body that it needs more food. The brain and the rest of your body don't need quantity, they need quality nutrition.
