The book will cater to the needs of the server administration community and will be designed to be a critical reference. The book will extensively cover the most notable new feature of Windows Server known as the “Server Core.” Server Core is a significantly scaled-back installation where no graphical shell (explorer.exe) is installed, and all configuration and maintenance is done entirely through the command-line windows, or by connecting to the machine remotely using Microsoft Management Console. Server Core will also not include the .NET Framework, Internet Explorer or many other features not related to core server features. A Server Core machine can be configured for four basic roles: Domain controller, DNS Server, DHCP Server, and file server. Chapters on setup and installation will also cover the new componentized operating system Image-based setup and deployment tools, using WIM. In addition to the already extensive Active Directory support this book will now fully cover the “Read-Only Domain Controller” operation mode in Active Directory, intended for use in branch office scenarios where a domain controller may reside in a low physical security environment, was introduced in Windows Server 2003 R2 and will be extended in the 2008 version. Chapters covering policy-based networking, branch management and enhanced end user collaboration will be extended. Windows Server 2008 will also ship Internet Information Services 7 and the current chapters on IIS will thus be extended. Coverage of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 will also be introduced into this part of the book. It Is A Reality: An Utterly Free Credit File Is Your Legal Right
Yes, you have a right to receive an absolutely free credit record from every one of the three credit reporting agencies in the United States. Your right to receive an absolutely free credit record is a federal public law, precisely, public law 108-159. When attempting to figure out how to get rid of credit card debt, this can be a valuable tool. The law which made an absolutely free credit record for customers a right was passed by The 108th Congress on Dec 5, 2005. It was in particular aimed at people attempting to maintain good credit or going down the road of how to get rid of credit card debt. It is entitled the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACT) of 2005, and it's a Godsend for individuals for whom used cars is a very real concern.
The Act amended an earlier credit record law entitled the Fair Credit Reporting Act. FACT amended the Fair Credit Reporting Act to include a provision for the absolutely free credit record. In Title II of FACT, under section 211, which is entitled "No cost buyer Records", all credit reporting agencies are required to give customers their credit files once during a 12 month period "upon the demand of the buyer without charge to the buyer”. This law reversed the practice of credit reporting agencies to charge customers for their own credit record.
FACT continues in Title II to state that the buyer may obtain the absolutely free credit record only if the buyer makes that demand from a centralized source which a government commission would oversee in its growth. At minimum, credit reporting agencies are needed to provide a toll free number customers may call to make their application. It also states that credit reporting agencies have 15 days in which to provide the absolutely free credit record to the buyer after the buyer has made the application.
FACT also states that customers may also apply for a reinvestigation of the specifics of their credit record after they receive it and that credit reporting agencies must conclude that investigation within 45 days after a demand for reinvestigation. This assures that customers may use the absolutely free credit record after they receive the results of the reinvestigation.
The three credit reporting agencies in the U.S., Equifacts, Experian, and Transunion, together created a centralized source that customers can use to request their credit record as required by FACT.
